Viral & Spyware can force a formatting and reinstall of OS

The worst job for a Tech is debugging a compromised computer. The owner blames you for not being able to debug it, when it is there stupidity that caused it.

If viruses interrupt, it is still manageable but what if you spill some liquid on to your laptop? Is there any other option except going for a motherboard repair?
